This Dietitan service offers a very thorough and comprehensive service to help people's motivation, understanding and confidence to be able to improve their eating and/or physical activity habits.
 
Each person has different needs (eg. different learning styles, challenges, life situations, skills etc.) and so being able to teach people in a variety ways helps each person achieve the changes they would like. This often takes more time to give each person what they need to feel confident and to easily understand how they can gradually make healthy changes.
 
This Dietitian service offers people more time in appointments to be able to consider each person's needs more thoroughly (including eating, activity, thinking, environmental, emotional and social/ work/ family factors). This is considered to be more worthwhile in helping people to actually achieve improved eating and physical actviity habits for their long-term health.

Please note: For many years this service had maintained the same fees, and due to continual increasing costs a mild increase in fees will now continue to occur. To support people with concession, there is a reduced fee. Fees will continue to be kept at a minimum to support people to attend and achieve their goals.

Initial consultation (without Private Health Cover or Medicare EPC Referral - see below):
      At least 1 hour 15 minute appointments = $115.00. For clients with concession = $105.00.

Initial longer consultation (without Private Health Cover or Medicare EPC Referral - see below):
      At least 1 hour 30 minute appointments = $135.00. For clients with concession = $123.00.

Review consultations (without Private Health or Medicare EPC Referral - see below):
      At least 1 hour appointments = $98.00. For clients with concession = $89.00.

Review longer consultations (without Private Health Cover or Medicare EPC Referral - see below):
      At least 1 hour 15 minute appointments = $115.00. For clients with concession = $105.00.

People who have Private Health Cover may receive payment back from this fee, please check with your Private Health Fund the payments they provide back for Dietitian services.

If you have a Medicare referral (via EPC - Enhanced Primary Care) (check with your Doctor if you are eligible for an EPC Medicare referral):

Initial consultation if you have an EPC Medicare referral (see above), out of pocket after Medicare's refund (please note: this refund is $52.95 for all allied health services and Medicare has kept this rebate the same for several years): 
      At least 1 hour 15 minute appointments = $62.05. With concession = $52.05.

Review consultations if you have an EPC Medicare referral (see above), out of pocket after Medicare refund:
      At least 1 hour appointments = $45.05. With concession = $36.05. 

      At least 1 hour 15 minute longer review appointments = $62.05. With concession = $52.05
